Do you want to see the wonders of Orkney but don’t know where to start?

A personal guided tour can ensure that you make the most out of your visit to the islands.

All tours are conducted by a local QUALIFIED guide recognised by the Scottish Tourist Guides Association, so you can be sure that you will have an enthusiastic expert to share their knowledge with you.

We provide a ‘step-on’ guide. This means that you provide the transport and driver; we bring the route, itinerary, site bookings and local expertise! The prices detailed below are the cost of hiring a guide – they do not include entry charges into the sites.

Sample itineraries

Tour 1 – Treasures of the Stone Age

Includes Skara Brae, Maeshowe, the standing stone circles at Stenness and Brodgar, and many more Neolithic sites from 5,000 years ago.

Tour 2 – The Viking Trail

The footsteps of the Norse invaders, sagas, saints and sinners! Includes St Magnus Cathedral, the Orkneyinga Saga Centre and the Orkney Museum

Tour 3 – Hidden Gems

Off the beaten track to the less visited areas – peaceful and very special; you’ll probably have the place to yourself, even at the height of the busy season.

Tour 4 – 5000 years of history

The whistle-stop highlights ranging from the stone age monuments up to the Churchill Barriers, and everything in between! Includes Skara Brae, St Magnus Cathedral, the Bishop’s and Earl’s Palaces, Ring of Brodgar, Kirbuster or Corrigall Farm Museum.

Tour 5 – The Wartime Legacy

Orkney’s recent history explored – includes the Churchill Barriers, details of the scuttled German High Seas Fleet, and the Italian Chapel.

These prices are the same regardless of the number of people – you can book a tour just for two, or a whole coach – the price is the same!
